Maine

Below is the application for the Debut Scholarship to youth who grew up in Maine’s foster care system. This scholarship is intended specifically for you and has been made possible by the generous donations of many individuals and businesses in our state.

As part of the application process, you should know that if you are selected to receive a scholarship:

1. You will be notified of the selection committee’s decision by June 30, 2009.

2. You will be required to be enrolled full time in an accredited post secondary education program.

3. You will be required to maintain a GPA of at least 2.8

4. You will be required to share your progress with us at the end of every semester (or quarter) you are
awarded with a National Scholarship Fund scholarship.

5. Included with the progress report must be a thank you letter, which will be distributed to the many
    donors responsible for your scholarship.

6. Finally, you will be required to attend a reception planned for the fall semester/quarter, depending on
the date and where you will be attending school.
