The National Scholarship Fund is registered with the Internal Revenue Services and has 501 (c)(3) Tax Exempt Status. A copy of this can be obtained by contacting the NSF’s office. Gifts can be tax deductible as allowed by law.
Maine
Below is the application for the Debut Scholarship to youth who grew up in Maine’s foster care system. This scholarship is intended specifically for you and has been made possible by the generous donations of many individuals and businesses in our state.
As part of the application process, you should know that if you are selected to receive a scholarship:
1. You will be notified of the
selection committee’s decision by
June 30, 2009.
2. You will be required to be
enrolled full time in an accredited
post secondary education program.
3. You will be required to maintain
a GPA of at least 2.8
4. You will be required to share
your progress with us at the end of
every semester (or quarter) you are
awarded with
a National Scholarship Fund
scholarship.
5. Included with the progress report
must be a thank you letter, which
will be distributed to the many
donors responsible for your
scholarship.
6. Finally, you will be required to
attend a reception planned for the
fall semester/quarter, depending on
the date and
where you will be attending school.
